Plumber kneeling beneath a kitchen sink, tightening a fitting with a wrench

Leaks · Drains · Hot water

We fix it once,
and we fix it properly

A two-van workshop, not a call centre.

Elio Crest handles the plumbing most homes need and a few things they hope they never will. You get a quote before anything is opened up, one plumber who sees the job through, and a kitchen you'd be happy to cook in the same evening.

  • Licensed and insured

Every job is carried out under our trade licence and covered by workmanship insurance.

  • Quoted before we start

You approve a written figure first. If the job changes, we stop and talk to you.

  • Emergency cover

Burst pipes and failed hot water are held open in the daily schedule for same-day visits.

  • Left clean

Drop sheets down, offcuts out, floors swept. The room goes back the way it was found.

What we handle

Six things we are called out for most

If your problem isn't listed, describe it in the form — most of what we do sits somewhere between these six.

  • Leaks and burst pipes

Tracing the source before opening anything up, then a repair that matches the pipework already in the wall.

    • Dripping taps and mixers
    • Hidden wall and slab leaks
    • Emergency isolation and repair
  • Blocked drains

Cleared with a camera first so you know whether it was a one-off blockage or a root in the line.

    • Sinks, showers and toilets
    • Camera inspection
    • Root cutting and jetting
  • Hot water

Repair where it's worth repairing, replacement where it isn't — and we'll tell you honestly which one you're looking at.

    • No hot water diagnosis
    • Element and valve replacement
    • New unit supply and install
  • Bathroom fit-outs

Full rough-in and fit-off for a renovation, coordinated with your tiler and cabinetmaker so nobody waits on us.

    • Rough-in and fit-off
    • Vanity, bath and shower sets
    • Waterproofing coordination
  • Gas-safe work

Appliance connections and leak testing, certified and documented so your paperwork is in order.

    • Cooktop and heater connection
    • Leak testing
    • Compliance certificates
  • Maintenance rounds

A yearly look over the whole house for landlords and owners who would rather not meet us in an emergency.

    • Tap and cistern servicing
    • Pressure and valve checks
    • Written condition notes

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

Most of the worry about calling a plumber is not knowing what happens next. Here is exactly what happens next.

  1. 01

    Tell us what's wrong

Send the form with a sentence or two about the problem. We reply the same working day with a time window and, where the job is clear enough, a figure.

  2. 02

    We look and quote

One plumber arrives within the window, finds the actual cause and writes up the price. Nothing gets cut, pulled or replaced until you've said yes.

  3. 03

    Fixed and tidied

The work is done, tested in front of you and the space is cleaned up. You get the paperwork and our workmanship cover in writing.

The workshop

Small on purpose

Elio Crest is two vans and a bench. We kept it that way so the person who quotes your job is the person who does it, and so we can still say no to work we would rush.

Copper is cut, cleaned and soldered on the bench before it ever goes near your wall.

  • The same plumber from the first visit to the final test.
  • Fittings chosen to outlast the fixture they're feeding, not to hit a price.
  • Photographs of anything we close up behind a wall, sent with the invoice.

Where we work

Our patch

We stay inside a short drive so a same-day call-out is a real promise rather than a hopeful one. Not sure if you're in it? Ask anyway — if you're just outside, we'll tell you straight away.

Before you ask

Questions we get every week

How soon can someone come out?

Routine jobs are usually booked within a couple of days. We hold slots each morning for burst pipes, blocked toilets and failed hot water, so genuine emergencies are generally seen the same day.

Do I pay for the quote?

No. We look at the job, explain what's causing it and give you a written price. You decide from there, and there's nothing to pay if you'd rather think about it.

What if you find something worse once you open it up?

We stop and show you. Nothing beyond the agreed scope goes ahead until you've seen the problem and approved the revised figure — no invoices that quietly grew.

Can you work with my builder or tiler?

Often, yes. On renovations we book our rough-in and fit-off around the rest of the trades so the site keeps moving and nobody is waiting on plumbing.

Do you guarantee the work?

Our workmanship is covered in writing, and manufacturer warranties on any parts we supply are registered in your name and sent with the invoice.

Will I have water while you work?

Where the job allows, we isolate only the section we're working on. If the whole supply has to go off, we tell you how long before we touch the main.

Tell us what's going on

A sentence is enough. The more you can say about where the problem is and how long it's been happening, the better the first answer we can give you.
